Joining 15 other locations across the country, The Cliff Drysdale Tennis School at Red Ledges will be the first high-altitude tennis school offered by U.S. Open doubles champion and ESPN commentator Cliff Drysdale. Under the direction of his world-renowned company, the school will provide Red Ledges members with a host of tennis offerings, including private lessons, group clinics, community tournaments and international exhibitions, with our picturesque setting as a one-of-a-kind backdrop.
The spacious facility features a collection of indoor and outdoor lighted courts, in both clay and hard court surfaces, as well as top instruction by the acclaimed Drysdale staff. In a warm and inviting atmosphere, Drysdale coaches present a fun, intimate, hands-on program, one that satisfies the athletic senses and competitive instincts of every skill level.
The school offers high-level training under the leadership of Miles Bentley, Director of Tennis. An incredibly talented tennis professional with an infectious enthusiasm for the game, Miles has trained under Cliff Drysdale and has been certified by the Australia Tennis Professional Coaches Association. Miles earned a Bachelors Degree in Exercise and Health Science from the University of Western Australia and a Diploma of Education from Notre Dame University, Australia. Miles most recently served as the Tennis Program Director at the award-winning Tennis Garden at The Ritz-Carlton in Key Biscayne, Florida and brings with him over 13 years of international coaching and playing experience.
One of the most respected professionals in the international tennis community, Cliff Drysdale brings a world-class reputation to Red Ledges and establishes our mountain community as a destination for tennis enthusiasts. With 35 singles and 24 doubles titles under his belt, Drysdale played a successful professional career that has carried him to his present work as a tennis commentator and contributor for ABC Sports, ESPN and Tennis Magazine.
Level 3.5 - 4.0. An energetic 90-minute session comprised of drill, strategy and play situations.
Take your cardio routine out of the gym and on to the tennis court! Cardio Tennis is designed to give you a complete cardio workout. A great workout for players of all abilities.
Level 2.5 - 3.0. Designed for the player who is returning to the game or simply starting out. This weekly clinic will give the participant the basic fundamentals of the game.
Ages 4-7. Joeys is an introduction to tennis. The Joeys program focuses on hand-eye coordination, racquet skills, basic movements, strokes and most importantly FUN!!!
Ages 8-12. Introducing tennis related techniques movement and the concept of rallying. Future Champs introduces tennis related games designed to help learn the concept of tennis in a fun and enjoyable style.
Ages 12-14. This program concentrates on stroke production, rallying and learning the basic concepts of tennis as well as how to score and strategies of the game.
