Red Ledges offers one of the finest golf schools in the country under the direction of Jim McLean (one of the top golf instructors in the world) and led by Jon Paupore, Red Ledges Director of Instruction. Red Ledges provides both group and private lessons and a variety of clinic programs. From swing instruction and short-game skills to strategy and technique, the academy offers tee-to-green instruction for golfers of every age and ability in conjunction with top rated instructors and using the best in golf analysis technology.
The practice facility features a full driving range as well as a chipping green and putting green with bent grass surfaces. Our Brand New Jim McLean Learning Center will be fully equipped with the state-of-the-art TrackMan Launch Monitor and the latest JC Video Golf Swing Analysis Software. Two video cameras will capture golf swings to be analyzed on a giant flat screen television for frame-by-frame slow motion replay.
Meet Jon Paupore, Director of Instruction
Having completed the extensive Jim McLean Instructor certification program, Jon joins an elite team of the finest golf instructors in the world and has been selected by Jim McLean to be the Director of Instruction for the school at Red Ledges in April, 2010.
Jon started his golfing career by playing college golf at Eastern Michigan University where he qualified for the 1995 US Amateur (Tiger Woods - Newport CC) and 1998 British Amateur (Sergio Garcia - Muirfield). After turning professional and playing on several tours, Jon worked for eight years as a Teaching Professional at Jack Nicklaus private golf course, The Bears Club in Jupiter, FL. With his extensive knowledge of the golf swing and the Jim McLean system, Jon currently works with Briny Baird of the PGA Tour as well as several other top touring professionals on the LPGA Tour, European LPGA Tour, and Gateway Tour.
