Utah Business Magazine Feature: Red Ledges Approved by Heber City

March 15, 2007:

Red Ledges is now a part of Heber City. On Thursday, March 15, the Heber City Council voted unanimously to both approve the annexation of Red Ledges into the city limits and accept the Red Ledges master plan. This annexation approval comes after months of public hearings and meetings in which an interlocal agreement was crafted between Heber City, Wasatch County, Twin Creeks Special Service District and Red Ledges. This agreement addresses many of annexation issues such as the construction of a new traffic corridor, water and sewer services, density and mitigation fees.   With these approvals Red Ledges is ready to begin construction as early as this fall.

February 7, 2007:

Both Heber City and Wasatch County are working to complete a memorandum of understanding that would guide the annexation process. One of the major points in the agreement is the alignment of the desired bypass road.

November 28, 2006:

Annexation update: We have cleared the first hurdle in the annexation process -- our petition has been certified by the city (this means that the petition meets the legal requirements for annexation). As we worked through this process, the only substantial change to the master plan was that we reduced density by eliminating 84 home sites.
