M. Anthony Burns, Managing Owner
M. Anthony Burns, Managing Owner-Red Ledges, is the Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Directors of Ryder System Inc., a $6 billion global transportation company. Before his retirement, Tony served as Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Nolan D. Archibald, Co-Owner
Nolan D. Archibald, Co-Owner-Red Ledges, is Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Office of Black & Decker, a $7 billion global corporation. Born in Ogden, Utah, Nolan was an All-American basketball player at Dixie State College and an Academic All American at Weber State University.
Todd Cates, Vice President
Todd R. Cates is Vice President and Project Manager for Red Ledges. He leads the overall planning, finance and governmental processing for the Red Ledges community. He attended Brigham Young University and then worked for almost ten years with Fidelity Investments in different positions.
As insurance coordinator for the Southeast Florida area he oversaw a 368% increase in business and was named “Insurance Coordinator of the Year” for the nation. He has also worked in other positions of management and finance. Todd is currently living in Heber City, UT with his wife, Sulayma, and their daughter and three sons.
Mitchel Burns, Vice President
Mitchel A. Burns is Vice President and heads up the planning, design and construction operations of Red Ledges. After graduating from Brigham Young University, Mitchel worked for over 15 years in the computer software industry. Starting with IMG, a custom solution provider based in Chicago, Mitchel established and managed the firm's Seattle office which provided customized software and training services for Microsoft and other clients.
After moving to Pacific Edge Software, he led the team that designed and developed a leading project and portfolio management solution used by Fortune 500 companies to monitor and manage all aspects of a company's initiatives. At his last stop before leaving the software industry, Mitchel was instrumental in bringing to market Inrix's real-time and predictive traffic information system which is used by leading navigation and traffic solution providers such as Cobra, BMW, Mapquest, TCS and others.
After moving to Burns Holdings and Red Ledges, Mitchel’s responsibilities also included project management of the company's Mesquite, Nevada projects. These include the construction of a movie theater complex complete with restaurant sites along with the redevelopment of a truck stop and cafe site.
Maria Johnson, Vice President
Maria Johnson, Red Ledges Vice President of Strategic Planning, graduated with honors with an MBA in Finance from the University Of Chicago Graduate School of Business. She also holds undergraduate degrees in Economics and Computer Science from Willamette University. Prior to joining Red Ledges, she spent 20 years working for Ryder in the areas of Finance, Marketing, Operations and Sales.
She provided leadership for the Lease and Logistics product lines for seven states, representing up to $55 million in annual revenue. Prior to working for Ryder, she held positions in International Accounting and Computer Science. Maria has lived in the Park City area for the past 10 years with her husband and three children.
Jennifer Hurst, Vice President
Jennifer joins Red Ledges with more than 15 years of marketing and communications experience, most recently as the Marketing Director for Kennecott Land. In this capacity she created, developed and managed the marketing strategy for the Daybreak community in Salt Lake City. In 2007, Hurst was awarded Marketing Director of the Year by the Utah HBA Sales and Marketing council and was the silver award winner for Marketing Director of the Year through the National Sales and Marketing Council.
Her additional experience includes serving as the Marketing Director for the Castle Rock Development Company; President of Injenuity; and Director of Public Relations for Breckenridge Resort Chamber. Jennifer attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute and is a council member of the Salt Lake HBA.
Steve Hextell, Vice President
Steve joins Red Ledges with more than 20 years experience building and managing upscale master-planned communities. Prior to joining Red Ledges, Hextell served as the Area Vice President/General Manager for Trilogy at Rio Vista, a J.F. Shea Homes development in California. Under his management, the project received the “Best Master-Planned Community” award in 2005 from the Northern California Homebuilders Association.
His additional real estate sales experience includes serving as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Sun City Huntley/Grand Haven, a Del Webb/Pulte Homes, Inc. project (Chicago); Senior Sales Manager for Sun City Summerlin (Nev.); and Sales Manager for Sun City West and Sun City Tucson (Ariz.). Steve attended Illinois State University.
Tommy Auger, Chief Financial Officier
Tommy Auger is Chief Financial Officier and is responsible for the various financial aspects of Red Ledges and related entities. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants (UACPA) and American Instititute of Certified Public Accountants. He currently serves as the chair of the ProNet Council of the UACPA. He received his Master's of Science in Accounting from Oklahoma City University. He currently lives in Holladay, Utah with his wife Melissa and two girls.
He began his professional career working in public accounting with the international accounting firms of KPMG LLP and Arthur Andersen LLP. After 10 plus years, he left public accounting in 2004 to join Talisker Coporation as its Vice President, Finance and Administration in their Park City, Utah offices. He has significant experience in providing businesses with accounting, business consulting services and financial statement oversight. He has extensive experience in the real estate industry working with land developers, golf courses, luxury clubs, ski resorts, homebuilders and home-owner associations.
Greg Adamson, Project Construction Manager
Greg Adamson, AAIA is the Project Construction Manager for Red Ledges. Greg has a B.A. from Westminster College, Salt Lake City, Utah. Greg has over twenty two years of experience in both Architecture and residential and commercial construction. Greg’s experience includes design, sub-contract administration, preparation of working documents, risk management, and overall project management. Project experience includes numerous recreational, educational, industrial, and office & retail projects in the western United States including California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Wyoming and Utah.
Peggy Givens, Operations Manager
Peggy Givens is Operations Manager for Red Ledges. She manages the reservation and contract process for Red Ledges co-coordinating with the Sales Agents, title companies and lenders.
Prior to joining Red Ledges she worked for Ryder System, Inc. for over 13 years in various positions including; lease administration, rental management, customer advocacy and marketing. She moved to the Salt Lake area 10 years ago with Ryder. Peggy currently lives in West Jordan with her husband, Mike, daughter and son.
