The Heber City Council voted March 15 to annex Red Ledges, an upscale golf course community. This annexation approval comes after months of public hearings and a mutually cooperative agreement between Heber City, Wasatch County, Twin Creeks Special Service District and Red Ledges.
Red Ledges is a private golf and recreational mountain with amenities such as a Jack Nicklaus Golf Course, Cliff Drysdale Tennis Academy, Jim McLean Golf Academy, and public equestrian center.
In the same city council meeting, the Red Ledges' Master Plan was also unanimously approved. Red Ledges can now proceed with plans to develop the 1,900 acre parcel. "We will continue working with the city in a responsible and positive manner to develop a world-class community here in Heber," said Todd Cates, vice president and project manager of Red Ledges
Red Ledges will immediately begin working with the city to gain the necessary permits to start grading for the golf course, which could begin in May.
