Red Ledges Donates $1.5 Million for Rec Center
Wasatch County Council Members met in their first regular session of the New Year January 2. One of the first items on the agenda was Consideration of Council Chairman for 2008. Steve Farrell was nominated and was then voted in as the Council Chairman for his second term. Voted in, as Co-Chairman was Council Member Neil Anderton.
Todd Cates representative for the Red Ledges Development appeared before the Council to make a presentation of the first payment of $1.5 million to Wasatch County. This payment as well as other future payments totaling $4.5 Million is the mitigation fee for the development and is earmarked for use for any community needs such as the new County Recreation Center.
Also on hand for the presentation were Scott Archibald, Mitchel Burns and Maria Johnson representing Red Ledges. Mr. Cates stated, "We are here to be a good member of the community and to work together with Twin Creeks and Wasatch County for the benefit of all."
Cates went on to say, "Wasatch County has been a wonderful partner from the very beginning."
