A Family’s Guide to Red Ledges
Red Ledges is a family-friendly community that offers many activities and amenities. Families love the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Park, the Equestrian Center, the Kids’ Club Yurt, the Village Center Pool, and our junior tennis and golf programs.
The Red Ledges Activities Director, Stephanie Potempa, AKA the Director of Fun curates fun club activities and events that the whole family can enjoy. The Red Ledges Club hosts annual holiday celebrations including an Easter Egg Hunt and breakfast, a Pumpkin Carving Party and costume contest, and a celebration with Santa. Additional activities include things like stargazing with a local astronomer, bowling at the Holiday Lanes, an outdoor Movie Night at the pool, an excursion to the Mountain Valley Stampede and Rodeo, outdoor Summer Concerts on our Golf Park, and much more.

Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Park
The Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Park is One part “Golf,” one part “Park,” and countless parts “Fun”. The Golf Park makes golf fun for anyone with greens that role towards the hole and large 8 inch cups. You can play barefoot, ride the golf boards, or golf with your dog. Or you can use it as a park and play soccer, throw the frisbee, and enjoy a picnic.
Red Ledges Equestrian Center
Organized group and private trail rides allow you to experience the “wild west” of Red Ledges. Take the whole family on an unforgettable hayride with our team of Clydesdales. Private horseback riding lessons are available for riders of all ages and skill levels. The Red Ledges Equestrian Center also offers activities that allows kids to get to know the horses before riding them. You can even paint a horse!
Cliff Drysdale Junior Tennis Programs
The Cliff Drysdale Tennis Program offers a variety of clinics and camps for juniors. Children can learn everything from the basics of tennis to keeping score to how to play a game with friends.
Kid’s Club Yurt
The Kid’s Club Yurt is a space made just for kids! With ping pong, shuffleboard, foosball, air-hockey, and a wide array of video and board games, its the perfect place for kids of all ages to have fun and to make friends.
Jim McLean Junior Golf School
The Jim McLean Golf School is a proud supporter of junior golf across the country and is committed to making golf a better game for all junior golfers. JMGS Junior Golf Camps are a fantastic way to get our youth involved!
Village Center Pool
The Pool at the Red Ledges Village Center is a fun place for the whole family to cool down on a hot summer day. The resort-style swimming pool features a 144 ft water slide, water playground, lap-swimming lanes, and a shallow entry making it easy for the little ones to join in on the fun. Red Ledges also offers swim lessons for kids throughout the summer.
Local Education and Community Attractions
Red Ledges is part of the Wasatch School District. Wasatch School District has 7,333 students in grades K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 21 to 1. There are five elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. A dual-immersion program for Spanish is offered. Wasatch High School is a 5A school for sports and offers AP classes.
The area also offers private education and specialty schools. Soldier Hollow Charter School focuses on nurturing inquiry and creativity in the students. The Winter Sports School in Park City is a college preparatory academic institution that is dedicated to winter athletes. Athletes don’t have to choose between their sport and their education. The Soaring Wings International Montessori School in Park City is a private school that focuses on supporting each child’s unique process of development.
The local area also features events and activities for the whole family. Some of our favorites include the Heber Valley Railroad, kid friendly trail systems for hiking and biking, the Joyce and M. Anthony Burns Recreation Center, and nearby state parks and reservoirs.
