In partnership with the equestrian experts at KB Horses, the Red Ledges Equestrian Center provides a wide range of programs that allow members to enjoy life with horses at the level that best suits their interest.
Organized group and private trail rides – ranging from a quick one hour outing to a half-day excursion with lunch – allow you to meander the magnificent red rock outcroppings on a well-trained, sure-footed, friendly horse. Join family and friends for an unforgettable experience with an authentic hayride or chuck wagon dinner excursion. Private horseback riding lessons are available for riders of all ages and skill levels. And when you’re ready to own a horse, the six-class Horsemanship 101 series provides all the training and experience you’ll need.
The Equestrian Center’s horse-boarding program provides full-time exceptional care for your horse, ride-out acreage, beautiful trails, an outdoor arena, clean boarding stables, tack storage, and more, to make owning a horse easy and fun. Alternatively, the equestrian staff can match members with an equine companion, through the horse-leasing program, so they can enjoy the benefits of owning a horse, without the full-time commitment.

Private Trail Rides
KB HORSES at Red Ledges not only provides the perfect backdrop to your ride, but during the experience you will also learn the basics of how these animals think and view the world.
Private Trail Rides — 1.5-hour
$125 for the first hour — $100 per additional hour
Horsemanship 101
By the time you complete the 12-hour, 6-lesson course, you’ll have enough information and experience to lease and ride a horse unguided.
Price for First Package – $1,195
Each lesson has three segments:
Segment 1 – Review and discussion of an entertaining reading assignment from the course book
Segment 2 – Observation of the instructor while they demonstrate the lesson material
Segment 3 – Participation with the instructor as they coach the student through the lesson material
Private Riding Experience
Come meander Red Ledges’ magnificent red rock outcroppings on one of our well-trained, sure-footed, kind-minded, friendly horses. Let us tailor a guided ride to suit your abilities and create an unforgettable experience for you.
Private Riding Lesson– 1 hour
$115 per person
Pony Ride – 1 hour
$99 for the first child — $25 for each additional child
Wagon Rides
For those who prefer to ride behind a horse instead of on one, let us take you for a tour of the award winning Red Ledges, Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course where views of the Heber Valley abound. Our two Clydesdales “Butch” and “Sundance” will pull you in our Amish hand-made wagon while you enjoy stunning views of Red Ledges, the Heber Valley and Mount Timpanogos in a way few have the opportunity to experience.
45-60 minutes (5 people)
$250 + $55 each additional person
Rides include: cookies, cakes, breads, and lemonade (summer) or hot cocoa and hot cider (winter). Children age 3 and under are FREE.
Horse Boarding
Give your horse the best possible life it can enjoy. Our facilities include a several-acre, shared corral where horses can socialize and live in a herd as they would in the wild while being supervised and cared for by our capable and experienced staff. Enjoy working your horse in our 60’ Round Pen and in our 100’ x 60’ Arena. We offer private corrals, stall/paddock combos, a birthing stall and turnout. Summer boarding includes grass/alfalfa mix hay fed 3x/day, heated water, free choice mineral blocks, clean when possible, check 3x/ day.

Horse Leasing Punch Pass
Enjoy all the pleasures of owning a horse with none of the headaches. We’ll match you with an equine companion and provide all necessary tack. Have a guide accompany you on rides for $50/hour.
*Completion of Horsemanship – 101 is required to lease.
1 Lease Ride: $200 (December – April) / $250 (May – November)
6 Lease Rides: $750 (December – April) / $1,200 (May – November)
10 Lease Rides: $1,250 (December – April) / $1,750 (May – November)
