Entertainment and Cultural Offerings

A larger sphere of world-class recreation, arts, culture, shopping, dining, and natural beauty lies just beyond the gates of the Red Ledges private community. Park City, host to the annual Sundance Film Festival and site of many events in the 2002 Winter Olympic games, is less than 30 minutes away. Its famed historic Main Street district offers over 100 restaurants and bars, boutiques, and art galleries. Live music performances, theater, dance, and special events fill the calendar year-round.

Skiing and Snowboarding

Red Ledges is located within minutes to some of the best ski resorts in Utah. The acclaimed slopes of top-rated Deer Valley Resort are only 15 minutes away; Park City Mountain Resort, Sundance Mountain Resort, and Woodward Park City are within a 30-minute drive; and Snowbird, Alta, Brighton, and Solitude Mountain resorts are less than 90 minutes away. Soldier Hollow Nordic Center, a venue for the 2002 Winter Olympics, offers miles of groomed cross-country skiing trails, snow shoeing, and a lively snow-tubing park less than 10 miles away.

Summer Activities

In summer, embrace the mountain lifestyle of Red Ledges and explore the mountain resorts and surrounding areas. These resorts are a mecca for hiking and mountain biking with hundreds of miles of well-maintained trails, lift-served bike access, and numerous bike parks. Water recreation abounds with three large reservoirs within 30 miles of Heber, offering boating, sailing, paddleboarding and a water playground. And miles of blue-ribbon trout streams beckon avid anglers and beginners alike.

National and State Parks

Utah offers plenty of room for every imaginable form of outdoor recreation. An astounding 75% of the land in Utah, the thirteenth largest state in the nation, is public space.  This includes Utah’s five national parks – Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and Zion – as well as seven national monuments, seven national forests encompassing over 9 million acres of land, and 44 state parks and museums with over one million surface acres of water and 95,000 acres of land.
