Red Ledges, Utah’s premier four-season mountain community, is heavily involved with local non-profit organizations. In 2022, Red Ledges is keyed up to support KPCW, a local NPR affiliate, by co-sponsoring a broadcasted hour during the Winter Pledge Drive—happening March 7-10.
KPCW provides reliable local news to both the Wasatch and Summit counties—an important role for both communities. If you want a quick way to start “Listening like a local,” tune into either:
- Leslie Thatcher’s Local News Hour is weekdays from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Mountain time.
- Randy Barton’s show, The Local View, weekdays from 3:00 p.m. -6:30 p.m. Mountain time.
To further community support, Red Ledges has invited Paws for Life, a non-profit animal rescue in Heber City, Utah, to co-sponsor this broadcasted hour. In return for Red Ledge’s donation to KPCW—Paws for Life will earn free on-air advertising to use on KPCW throughout the year.
Red Ledges passionately supports the community’s four-legged friends by routinely spotlighting the dogs that live in the community. Red Ledges also hosts an annual charity event that benefits Paws for Life.
These special events have raised over $100,000 for Paws for Life. These donations help local animal shelters maintain their no-kill status—including the Heber Valley Animal Shelter, to which Paws for Life Utah is a rescue partner.
Tune into KPCW, Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. MST. At this time, Mitchel Burns, Chief Operations Officer of Red Ledges will be on-air. If you are new to the Heber City or Park City areas, you can listen by:
- Downloading the KPCW mobile app from the Apple or Google Play stores.
- Visiting KPCW.org to live-stream the broadcast.
- Tuning your local radio to 91.7 FM or 88.1 FM in Summit County or 91.9 FM in Wasatch County.
Additionally, the 2022 Paws for Life and Red Ledges charity event is happening Saturday, August 20. Mark your calendars and watch the Red Ledges blog to learn how to participate in this year’s upcoming event.
