Nestled within Red Ledges, a private destination community in the Heber Valley area, among home sites and beautiful topography, is a spectacular place to play — and to learn — the game of golf.
An 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course and a 12-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf park are parts of the Red Ledges Community. Both courses are unique, due to the natural land formations in the area. But, in addition to having a beautiful place to enjoy the game, golfers can learn and better their games at the Jim McLean Golf School.
Former professional golfer Jim McLean has top-tier schools at a few select locations in the world. Jim McLean Golf Schools are well known for providing an enhanced learning environment for every student, improving their golf swing. The only location in Utah is Red Ledges, where both group and private lessons are offered to members and to the public. The facilities at Red Ledges make it the optimal place to tee off.
A variety of lesson packages are available, including two-, three-, four- and five-lesson packages. Junior golfers ages 5 to 14 can enhance their games as well with the Junior Golf School.
Other opportunities for golf instruction include 9-hole playing lesson, club and putter fitting and a “Stay, Play and Learn Package.” This package includes a two-night stay at the Five-Star St. Regis Deer Valley, six hours of golf instruction, lunch at the Juniper Grill and two 18-hole rounds of golf. Currently, Red Ledges is offering a pre-holiday special of $99 for a one-hour private golf lesson.
Paupore has been named No. 1 Golf Teacher in Utah twice by Golf Digest Magazine and has been named one of the top 25 golf instructors in the United States by Golf Tips Magazine. “Our golf school has a very regimented training and certification program that each instructor must complete before they are able to teach at the school.
Combined with annual continued education for every instructor, our golf school has a wealth of knowledge that we are able to pass along to our golfing community,” he said.
