Red Ledges Resort Community in Park City

Family, Friends, Fun

September 7, 2021

An extraordinary lifestyle at Red Ledges gets even better.

HEBER VALLEY, UTAH, is an extraordinary place to visit or live. The mountain scenery is truly awesome all four seasons of the year, and the outdoor activities are just as exciting. Winter sports include world-class skiing in nearby Park City, along with snowboarding and other snow-based fun. And summers offer exceptionally good hiking, biking, fishing, and golf.

If it sounds idyllic, it is, particularly at Red Ledges, a resort/residential community that has perfected mountain living in relaxed luxury. Spanning nearly 2,000 acres in Utah’s Wasatch and Uinta mountain ranges, Red Ledges offers 1,200 estate homesites and well-designed homes with dramatic views of the unique red rock formations and surrounding Rocky Mountain peaks.

In addition to the world-class attributes found off-property, Red Ledges offers an array of on-property amenities that is second to none. They include an award-winning Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course and first-of-its kind family (and pet-) friendly 12-hole Golf Park, tennis and pickleball programing, an active member ski club, and an equestrian center. A luxurious clubhouse features a full-service restaurant and bar, signature sports shop, fitness club, and serene pool.

But what may be the clincher for families entertaining the idea of purchasing a home in this Utah wonderland is the newly added Village Center, where a resort-style pool complex with a 144-foot water slide, playground, lap-swimming lanes, lawn games, and a poolside bar and grill are found.

“The new Village Center pool is a place for members and their families of all generations to gather and have fun making memories for many years to come,” said Red Ledges General Manager John Johnson. “It also gives us a large space for many people to gather and feel the energy you would find at a great resort.”

The pool complex was recently honored by Golf Inc. magazine, winning first place in the aquatics category in the publication’s 2021 Amenity of the Year competition. Golf Inc., the world’s only magazine for golf course developers, owners, and management company executives, annually recognizes the best new amenities and golf industry’s top dining facilities at public and private clubs. “We designed the facility to meet the needs of members, guests, and family of all ages,” Johnson said. “Members with school-age children love it. Members that have grandkids love it just the same. Having an aquatic playground, 144-foot water slide, incredible food, a full-service bar, ping pong, and two corn hole courts make it a place where an entire family can spend the day. The proximity to our 12-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Park also makes it the perfect family venue. The Golf Park is a place where members can play golf barefoot with their dogs to an 8-inch cup!”

The first phase of the Village Center pool complex opened in 2019 with the water slide, water playground, lap-swimming lanes, and lawn games. The poolside bar and grill features cold beverages, ice-cream treats, and a full food menu. The complex also includes seating to accommodate 300, a year-round hot-tub with a view, and well-appointed dressing rooms with lockers and showers.

Never content to rest on its successes, Red Ledges has continuously improved and evolved over the years to meet the needs of its owners and members. Next on the drawing board?

“In the immediate future, we will be building four brand new tennis courts for the Cliff Drysdale Tennis program,” Johnson said. “The new courts are immediately adjacent to the Village Center. We are also developing plans for a new fitness center and a new amenity called Mountainside. It will feature a small bistro/wine bar with a dedicated lap pool and multiple hot tubs for members to enjoy a swim or special occasion at the top of Red Ledges.”

Johnson reflected on what has made Red Ledges, now approaching its 15-year anniversary, such a successful community. “From day one to today, the belief, commitment, and passion the Burns and Archibald families have had to make sure we succeed has been passed on to every associate that has ever helped us in that time. From the top down, we all “bleed Red Ledges red!”
