Red Ledges, a private community in the Heber Valley, is expanding its construction division to meet the demand for high-end luxury homes. Rex McGuire, newly hired as the vice president of operations, brings vast experience to the construction management team.
“I’ve been working in the construction industry since I was a teenager. I’ve always loved architecture and engineering, but my talents led me to the building side of the industry,” McGuire said. McGuire received his bachelor’s degree in construction management from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and began his career in the heavy civil industry, but quickly gravitated to home building.
McGuire has been in the home building industry for the past 20 years, gaining building experience in development and operations, including construction management, land planning and development, product development, customer service and green building technology.
“I’ve spent a significant portion of my career with large public home builders, defining home building excellence throughout California, Nevada and Utah,” McGuire said. “I enjoy the tangible aspect of bringing a client’s vision to reality, but what I most enjoy are the relationships fostered with clients and trade partners as we collaborate together to deliver an exceptional experience and product at the highest service and quality standards in the industry.”
Red Ledges provides a stunning, mountain-living atmosphere where members love to live and recreate. The 2,000-acre, year-round mountain community is in beautiful Heber Valley near Park City and includes a collection of carefully designed neighborhoods among wide-open spaces, fascinating topography and spectacular mountain and valley views.
Red Ledges offers select, unique home sites, providing an ideal spot to build that dream home. “My goal is to have an on-site team of seasoned builders and custom-home experts that can make Red Ledges buyers’ dream homes become reality — stress-free,” McGuire said.
The location is perfect because it is in close proximity to Utah County, Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University, where McGuire’s daughter goes to school. Living at Red Ledges provides the best of both worlds: the energy of the Provo/Orem area that is nearby and a secluded mountain lifestyle.
McGuire and his family lived in southern California for ten years before moving to Red Ledges. “The Heber Valley is a little piece of heaven on earth,” he said. “It offers a variety that my family and I have been missing. When we drive down the street in Heber City, just about every person will give a smile and a wave. It’s the people, the authentic small town vibe, combined with the beautiful mountain landscape, that I find most appealing.”
“Whether our future members are looking for a new move-in-ready home, one of our custom homes under construction or a personalized custom-built home, they can find exactly what they are looking for at Red Ledges,” McGuire said. “We offer our property owners the opportunity to purchase the best products to suit their lifestyles in the most desirable community in Utah.”
